Special Thanks to our Bantam B Family

Special Thanks to our Bantam B Family,

We would like to thank our Bantam B hockey family for all of their support.  In August 2016, one of our family members was diagnosed with Stage III A non-small cell lung cancer.  We decided to tell our team mom, Kathie Christie and Coach Woody because we didn't know how it would affect our player, Shandon.

Our hockey family has shown such compassion, kindness and generosity since that time it is truly unbelievable.  It was a tough journey going through chemo, radiation and surgery, but what made it so much easier is the support, well wishes and prayers our hockey family has given us at every game and every practice.  The team started a meal train where families signed up to bring us a meal at every practice and game.  The coaches and boys on the team showed their support holding up signs on Hockey Fights Cancer day and dedicated a game after surgery.  They pulled together to help us in our time of need and we cannot express our gratitude enough.  I know we could not have hand picked a better group of people.  We are so blessed to be a part of this phenomenal family.  When you can feel that people truly care about you, it makes such a positive impact on your life and that is what our hockey family has done.

Our sincere thanks to the best hockey family anyone could ever ask for!  We love you all.  Special thanks to Kathie Christie and Coach Woody.  Oh, one last thing, at Andrea's follow up with the surgeon and the oncologist she was told she is cancer free!

Love,
Lori, Andrea, Rudy & Shandon

Our Bantam B team took time before their game last week to support Hockey Fights Cancer.  This year holds a special place in our hearts, as one of our own team mom's is currently battling cancer.  Thank you to Kerry & Pam for putting this together and all the players and coaches for your participation. #HockeyFightsCancer

For the 2nd year in a row and 3rd time in 4 years, Brick Hockey Club will be sending a team to the USA Hockey Nationals Tournament!

Congrats to all the coaches and players on an unbelievable win streak that goes back to Labor Day!

After a 3 game sweep to win the NJYHL Championship this past weekend our 18AA team had their sights set on one thing this week...an Atlantic District Championship and a trip to Nationals

The Atlantic District best of 3 series vs Princeton kicked off Wed night in Brick and turned out to be a defensive battle in front of a standing room only crowd at the Ocean Ice Palace who were on hand to see Brick score the lone goal of the game and hold on to win 1-0.  Thurs night Brick was firing on all cylinders scoring 2 goals in the 1st period then 2 more in the 2nd period to take a 4 goal lead into the 3rd.  Princeton made things interesting scoring in the first minute of the 3rd period and again with about 7 mins left in the game.  Brick buckled down for the last few minutes of play and sealed the win with an empty net goal in the final minute.  Great job guys!

Congrats to all the coaches and players from our 18AA White team.  After starting league play with a 1-2 record they went on to win 15 consecutive league games to finish as the #1 seed in the NJYHL playoffs which took place this weekend at the Ice Vault in Wayne.

Needing 3 straight wins to capture the NJ State Championship they beat the Wildcats 7-2 on Friday night, came back Saturday and beat the Bandits 3-2 in O/T on Saturday, then completed the sweep this morning against a tough Princeton team winning 5-4, earning a spot in the Atlantic District playoffs.  Princeton then went on to beat the Avalanche to advance to the Atlantic District playoffs as well.

So it's Brick vs Princeton in a best of 3 series with the winner advancing to Nationals!  Game 1 will be played at the Ocean Ice Palace this week, time to be determined.  Game 2 will be at Princeton and Game 3 (if needed) will be back at the Ocean Ice Palace.

Great job guys.  Let's go punch that ticket to Nationals!!!
